Council brothel inspector busted taking skin bribes

Parramatta City Council worker Wade Fryar, has pleaded guilty on 5 counts of corruption has been jailed for 2.5 years with a non-parole period of 15 months.
Fryar was head of the Councils brothel squad to crack down on illegal brothels.
Fryar was accepting sexual services and cash bribes between 2004-2007.
One brothel owner was told by Fryar “”Christmas is around the corner and it would be lovely to get a present.”
The Judge said “his behaviour had a serious effect on the community’s confidence in government officials”
The Judge also commented on Fryar wife who has stuck by him and was at the court hearing.
Parramatta Council staff have been recommended to receive training to identify corruption.
