Two men are likely to face more than 200 child sex charges relating to the alleged repeated assault and prostitution of a boy in the 1980s, police say.
The men, aged 60 and 66, were arrested on Wednesday morning and are being questioned by detectives.
“Today’s arrests relate to allegations of sexual assaults against a 16-year-old boy between 1979 and 1988, as well as the alleged prostitution of the boy to numerous males including men previously accused of child sexual assaults,” police said in a statement.
The alleged offences were reported to police last year and have been investigated since.
The older man was arrested at Belrose in Sydney’s northern suburbs about 8.30am (AEDT), a short time after the 60-year-old was arrested at Harris Park, in Sydney’s west.
Charges are expected to be laid against the pair on Wednesday.
