… Two Sydney men have been arrested over an alleged decade-long 1980s sex ring involving a teenage boy and notorious pedophile Robert ‘‘Dolly’’ Dunn.
Police allege the boy was sexually abused by the pair and also “sold” to other well-known pedophiles, including the recently-dead Dunn.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad arrested the men, aged 60 and 57, at addresses in Harris Park and Belrose this morning.
The 57-year-old man is a junior AFL umpire in Sydney’s North Shore.
The men are now at separate Sydney police stations and are expected to be charged with more than 200 offences relating to the sexual assault of the teenager.
Police allege that the boy was abused as a teenager between 1979 and 1988.
Police continue to search both men’s houses.
The offences were reported to police in 2008 and Sex Crimes Squad detectives formed Strike Force Lighthorse to investigate.
