Police will use ground-penetrating radar as they begin searching for skeletal remains that may be buried underneath a suburban Sydney home.
Cengiz Sarac, 24, went missing in August 2005 and was last seen leaving his home in Auburn, western Sydney, in a white four-door sedan.
Detectives are convinced he was murdered and on Tuesday will begin searching for his remains beneath a two-storey home in Merrylands, also in the city’s west.
“We are highly confident the skeletal remains are at the house,” Detective Senior Constable Justin Harris told News Ltd on April 7.
Police investigating Mr Sarac’s disappearance recovered five bones during a search of Duck Creek pond, Auburn, on April 3.
The bones were sent for forensic analysis to determine if they are human.
Images of three men wanted over the case were also released last week.
