He walked up the stairs of the basement reception area and on to Goulburn St, speaking on his mobile phone.
When approached, he told The Sunday Telegraph to “p*** off”.
Medich, 62, who is charged with masterminding the 2009 contract killing of business associate Michael McGurk, must wear an electronic tracking device which alerts police if he moves outside the CBD and eastern suburbs.
Sydney Massage Parlors: Councilmassagesthe truth
May 3, 2010
An affair has blossomed between residents of Sydney’s southeast and Thai massage, although some remain unsure whether this love story comes with a happy ending.
Three new applications for Thai massage businesses, two vying for the same premises at 387 Anzac Pde, Kingsford, and one at 265 Arden St, Coogee, aroused the interest of Randwick councillors at last Tuesday night’s meeting.
…
Liberal councillor Scott Nash said he felt the resolution that all applications regarding Thai massage parlours come before councillors was presumptive. But other councillors said they were suspicious after noticing a marked increase in applications.
“I am very concerned about the influx of Thai massage parlours within the City of Randwick,” Independent Anthony Andrews said.”I have heard rumours that they are later sold and then used for other services.”

Councillors are concerned about the large number of applications for local therapeutic massage parlours.

Cr Michael McDermott, who takes a strong anti-brothel stance, led the change to tighten controls on sex services and restricted premises to ensure remedial massage parlours were not used for “purposes other than remedial massage’’.
“The objective of the change is to ensure that anyone who applies to open such a massage parlour or works in a massage parlour in Parramatta must have a recognised Australian qualification or the equivalent, and they legitimately intend to offer only therapeutic massage,’’ Cr McDermott said.
“We currently have 16 such massage parlours in the Parramatta CBD alone. Internationally and across Australia, these are often used for provide sex services. It would be naive of us to think that such a problem may not have spread to Parramatta. These changes will help to control an emerging problem.’’

Sydney Massage Parlors: Sex Addiction Appears to be Increasing, But Condition is Treatable
January 19, 2010
Although sex addiction is not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) published by the American Psychiatric Association, Halyard says it should be adopted in the next revision. “Clinicians who work regularly with sex addicts will tell you that it is an addiction, because the disorder has all the hallmarks of addiction, including causing significant distress, tolerance, withdrawal, increasing time spent and intensity, behavior continuing despite negative consequences or the desire to stop, and causing problems in occupational and social functioning,” reveals Halyard.
Behaviors associated with the disorder vary from individual to individual, but usually include sexual obsession or fantasy, excessive masturbation, multiple sex partners, affairs, and numerous one night stands. On the Internet, behaviors can include online porn, meeting online and having sex, cybersex, instant messaging, texting, webcam, and online strippers. Sex addicts attempt to connect with other people by means of decidedly impersonal intimate activities. For heterosexual males, the addiction often involves visits to strip clubs, massage parlors, escorts, live call chatting (1-900 numbers), and prostitutes.
